A sold out crowd were treated to FOUR airings of my personal fav 'Rat in Bin' and Jim E. managed to make one of the worst songs of all time palable, with a stunning version of 'Linger'.

Wonderful to see such a young man up there baring his soul, unforgettable.

Still can't believe Dublin saw MBV twice in four days, incredible times with great company.
They were loud, powerful, and trippy.... monumental.

Maria Somerville opening set amazing. Sitting beside an OG gazer who saw the band in 1988 at the show where they quite possibly played You Made Me Realise for the first time, wild.

Getting to hang with the international spokesperson for the genre and so much more besides, meeting friends from twitter and loads of Dublin heads too.

The city was buzzing on Saturday with shoegaze busking, and people who flew in from all over (shoutout North Carolina and Florida).

Two hour queues at the MBV merch popup, with a soundtrack from the aforementioned buskers, yep.....incredible times.

Go see them if you get a chance. You might get a chance.

New fave Pennsylvaniagaze Janedriver with Nothing and Whirr in Silver Spring Maryland with the legend that is Captain Shoegaze.

Featuring some shots of Nicky taken from outside, me in the crowd, from a photo taken by @ceruleansalvation and bonus post show storm footage from the epic drive back to Lancaster.

Janedriver were incredible in their second show since their return from hiatus, playing on their biggest stage yet, something they should get used to. Sick Hum cover and totally sold out at the merch stand, they receive the official Ignoreradio and Captain Shoegaze seal of approval.
